Mzansi shook by alleged poor living conditions of widowed mom of 5

A photo of the alleged home of a widowed mother of five left South Africans shook, feeling that the house was not a suitable place to live, especially with young children. Mzansi asserted that no one should have to live in these conditions, for whatever reason.

The photo is of a tiny tin shack in Matsakali Village of Collins Chabane Municipality in Limpopo. The shack has insufficient space for one person, let alone five. Controversial social media icon, @AdvBarryRoux, claimed that a widow and her family lived in the shack, Briefly.co.za found.

South Africans on social media speculated about the situation. Many said suggested that the widow’s husband was most likely the breadwinner of the family and passed away, leaving them to fend for themselves.

Mzansi was outraged and shared their views on the situation. Many people said that being poor and still having many children needs to end. Zwoluga says that he disagreed with the EFF’s encouragement for people to have more children, because of this very reason.

Others questioned why we can’t just make larger mud houses for people to live in, in lieu of tiny tin houses.

Many users turned the situation into a political issue, claiming that Malema is encouraging uneducated poor people to reproduce, knowing that this is the result of having too many kids. Others placed the blame on the ruling party for not providing proper housing for all South Africans.
