South Africans have been on the fence about Shepherd Bushiri ever since the stampede and his recent arrest - his followers have showed their unwavering support while others accused him of being a conman.
However, one man who appears to be in the controversial prophet's corner is Malcolm X. Taking to Instagram, the People's Blesser shared throwback photos of Major One.
"#ThrowBack: Man Of God!!!" he captioned the post.
Briefly.co.za gathered the post sparked quite the reaction, but, social media users were left divided over the subject.
Instagram user djsabz_sa wrote: "Always knew he was a fraud...he deserves one long ass sentence!!"
mthobisi_biggy commented: "@business_malcolm_x but Bhushiri is too much, if he is serving the living God can he go back to Malawi where he comes from and help people there with his profets"
lwazi_posh_nyundu_ added: "Dear Bushiri followers - Jesus was arrested for preaching the gospel, Peter was arrested for preaching the gospel, Paul was arrested for preaching the gospel, Bushiri is arrested for fraud and money laundering. Please Don't misinterpret Bible scripture."
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za reported earlier that the ECG Church's controversial Prophet Shepherd Bushiri will reportedly be represented by noted defence advocate Barry Roux.
