Steven Goodill noted 2 things at a road close to his home – a gentleman begging regularly and an ever-increasing pile of rubbish.

Goodill came up with an innovative plan to kill 2 birds with 1 stone by offering the beggar, known as Jimmy, a chance to earn some income for every bag of rubbish he collects.

The road in question stretches from the Blue route intersection to the M3 freeway.

Goodill took to Facebook to make others aware of his new initiative.

He called on others to offer Jimmy encouragement or a contribution when they pass him by.

He adds in his post that others would scoff at the idea but Jimmy welcomed the idea of earning an income.
