- A young man was stuck on the road with his son desperately waving to motorists for help
- A stranger stopped, made some calls, assisted him and even gave his child a yogurt
- Their encounter was shared via social media and has attracted a staggering 3 000 comments from impressed South Africans
Vuyo MakaAssah Mqotyana found himself in an awkward situation as he was stranded on the road with his son with him.
He desperately tried to get fellow motorists to stop and assist but many passed him by.
Eventually, one man stopped and went out of his way to provide assistance.
The Good Samaritan realised he didn’t have jumper cables to assist so made a call to a friend to borrow a set.
He continued to help until the car was started.
Mqotyana then also revealed that the stranger heard his son complaining about being hungry.
The kind Samaritan then offered up his sealed tub of yoghurt as well.
Mqotyana was so moved by the man’s generosity that he took to Facebook to pen his thoughts.
He declared that racism is becoming a thing of the past – it was not the first time that a white man assisted him when he was stranded.
