It’s been a rough patch for DJ Shimza as he had to fly home from Portugal after he was told that his luxury Mercedes G63 was stolen from his garage.
Shimza, real name Ashley Raphala , has been trying to stay positive. He has not said much since tweeting for anyone to come forward with information.
But he’s recently taken to social media to tell his fans that he was thankful for the support and was grateful for all he has. He said that the things that really matter in life are irreplaceable.
"The things that matter in life are things that cannot be replaced. I’m grateful to God for my life, the gifts he has given me and for all the support I get in both the good times and the not so good times. Chin up Ashley, keep on going boy."
Despite the pain of losing his R3 million car, Shimza has taken time to reflect on how blessed his life is.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that the car was stolen from his garage. The robbery came just a month after social media users warned him about posting his cars on social media. A follower advised the musician to at least hide the registration plate before posting the pictures. A case of housebreaking and theft has been opened at the Midrand police station, according to TshisaLIVE. The case was opened on Monday night by Shimza’s helper.
