One of the most iconic TV series on our screens will be coming to an end in March. The Bold and The Beautiful, one of the longest-running soaps ever, will no longer be aired on Mzansi screens. It will be replaced by a repeat of Keeping Score.
Many South Africans grew up with the sounds of a kind of drama that only The Bold and The Beautiful could deliver.
Some could never understand how women could watch a show that seems to drag on forever, but many mothers loved it.
That's about to come to an end, as SABC decided to pull the plug on the iconic American TV series.
Briefly.co.za gathered that come March, Bold will be replaced by a repeat of the sports show, Keeping Score.
Many viewers will be upset to know that they will no longer be able to follow the intriguing and dramatic lives of favourite characters like Brooke Logan and Ridge Forrester.
ZAlebs reports it is not only the older generation that will be upset, the younger ones also followed the soapie loyally.
A report by TVSA indicates that the SABC chose to discontinue the show because there is no business sense in airing it.
The management of the channel decided to cancel or discontinue Bold due to the investment performance in the slot which does not make business sense to continue with such a property on the schedule hence the cancellation.
