A man took to social media to express his opinion about women’s fashion choices. Instead of supporting his views, social media roasted him, offended by his “old fashioned” opinion women’s choices.
In his tweet he asserts, “Call me old fashioned but Lord knows I ain't gon marry a woman who wears waist beads, anklets, has a nose ring and draws a tattoo”.
In response to social media’s negativity towards him sharing his opinon, the young man said he didn’t care about their thoughts, Briefly.co.za found.
Men rushed to remiind Mzansi that he was not speaking on behalf of all me, but that is just his personal views.
Most of Mzansi on social media appeared to disagree with him.
Many users snarkily replied that a woman who wore any of the items he mentioned, or who had a tattoo probably wouldn’t want to marry him either.
Another user dropoed some knowledge and asserted that nose rings and anklets and the like are actually old-fasioned styles, so it was actular the man complaining who was following a new style.
Jordon Khokori, however, argued that the way these items are worn in modern fashions has been taken to be symbolic of irresponsible behaviour and associated with being a prostitue.
Other users argued that this was narrow-minded thinking and that fashion choices are a personal decision and their reasons for wearing certain accessories will vary.
Arthur Abubaker joked that Mzansi will be waiting or him when he settles down, to see if his new wife checked all his boxes.
