Two bright young teens gave Minister of Finance, Tito Mboweni, a good feeling for the future after a friendly exchange at Copper Club in Cape Town.
The young men apparently recognised Mboweni and approached him to politely ask if he was our Minister of Finance. One of the boys, Tom Welz, later shared his experience on Twitter, gushing that he was proud to have met the minister.
Mboweni was impressed that the boys said “our”, expressing pride at being art of the beautiful country, Briefly.co.za found.
He says the kids then asked for a selfie to which the minister obliged.
Wrapping up an entirely pleasant interaction, the boys wished the minister “good luck with the budget” before scampering off.
Social media gushed at how adorable the young men were.
Wisani Dzivhani wrote, “You have made a lasting impression on them, what you gave them will remain in their minds for a lifetime.”
