Two days ago, Unathi Nkayi shared a throwback snap off her from 32 years ago where she wore a fringe, and compared it to a more recent pic, on Instagram.
The Idols SA judge was probably looking through her earlier photos from her childhood when she stumbled across this pic of her with a fringe. She was such a cutie, and still is.
But before she made the comparison, she posted the pic of her from her childhood and wrote:
"#WCW I crush on her. The child in me. I listen to what she wants, feels, fears, respects and desires. The purest of me. I talk with a lot of you and thank you for trusting me with the most intimate parts of youAll I can say is trust her. She wants the best for you. The girl child in you. She wants you to put yourself first. The rest will fall into place. Bless n Love Queens. Crush on your girl selvesPS Bangs for who GIRL"
This was a real eye opener for all. We should never forget the child that we once was, and try and fulfil the goals we set for ourselves when we were younger, if we have not done so already. Here is the snap that got us all thinking.
Here were some of the comments from that post on Instagram:
Nnaniquism: "Crush on your girl selves - I love that my sister - thank you for this affirming reminder"
Lathring: "Nice message to wake up to. We are reminded to listen to ourselves & accept that advice. ❤️"
Dibuseng.mohau: "Purity is the child within. Love you sis unathi May you continue to be our strength, regardless of what you always come out shining."
Mashoba_21: "❤️❤️❤️ So sweet and so true."
Tazrose: "How beautiful. What a lovely message "
On the lighter side, when Unati shared the comparison snap, she captioned it as the #32YearChallenge. Here's the snap below.
How sweet, she still has the same face, only just a wee-bit older. What can we say, our Manzi star is aging gracefully.
Yesterday, Briefly.co.za reported that the beautiful Unati bid farewell to Show Me Love viewers.
The stunning 40-year-old singer has been a part of the talk show since day one. Unathi brought a real sense of ‘motherly’ care and raw independence to the show, something that no one will be able to easily replace
Briefly.co.za learnt that Unathi’s Brenda Mntambo interview will be her second to last on the show. She made the big announcement in a sweet post on her Instagram.
