After getting stranded in the rain with a flat tyre, Hennie Muller knew he wouldn't be able to change the tyre by himself. Fortunately, three kind men came his way and gave him the help he needed - without asking for anything in return.
A local man was so impressed with the kind deed of strangers that he took to social media to share his experience.
Hennie Muller - a mam known for sharing positive stories on Facebook recently shared that he got stranded in the rain with his bakkie. He had a flat tyre and no hope of fixing it alone.
But South Africa's spirit of Ubuntu was waiting for this, and soon 3 men came to Hennie's rescue.
Here's what happened, in Hennie's own words:
Rain, flat tyre, Steven, Shadrack and taxi man called 'Sous' lended a hand.
In the must needed rainy wet on the evening of Friday 8th Feb 19 our bakkie got a flat tyre in busy Church street. It was not a nice experience. On my own, I would not have been able to change it.
Firstly two gentlemen by the name of Stephen and Shadrack started to help. It was raining hard and the three of us were trying to lift the car, by getting the jack underneath to get it high enough.
Well while we were working in the dark , with one torch, trying to stop fast approaching cars, with no respect for hazards flashing ahead, another caring man appeared, with his taxi. His name is -'SOUS' . HE WANTED NO photos of him, nor any recognition or money. HE got soaking wet. Quickly the spare tyre was on the car and we could move again. New hope for SA.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Hennie added a few words of caution to his inspiring story:
NB Everyone, please make sure that all cars have all the tools to handle.
South Africans were touched by the kind deed of the 3 men, and applauded them on Facebook:
