Video shows amazing moment a newborn baby was rescued from pipe

A video has gone viral which showed local emergency services working tirelessly to save the life of a newborn baby girl.

On Sunday, a video was posted on Twitter which showed Durban's emergency services rescuing a baby from a storm water pipe.

According to Bernadette Wicks, who posted the video on social media, the baby was stuck seven metres down the pipe and it took rescuers three hours to get her out.

"The incredible moment a newborn baby girl is rescued from more than seven metres down a storm water pipe. The amazing men & women from Durban’s emergency services have been working for nearly three hours to save the infant," the journo captioned the video.
