Fans have taken to social media to thank rapper AKA for his donation to Wits students. The rapper recently donated R100 000 towards tertiary students in solidarity over the recent protests.
AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, made the decision to help out after seeing the student's plight. His handover and donation has since took place and many have gone to social media to express their opinions on the gesture.
Some were overwhelmed with gratitude over the gesture, while others did not seem too impressed.
Briefly.co.za reported that the rapper tweeted about his decision to get involved. He said he had been following the saga unfolding at Wits and felt that something needed to be done for the kids, the same people who public figures ask for support when they want something.
