A unique wedding proposal has gone viral on social media and it warmed the hearts of South Africans.
Last week, a video was shared online which showed a man proposing to his bae at a local Shoprite store.
Since it was shared on social media the video has gone viral, reaching thousands of views, Briefly.co.za learned.
The footage showed the man going down on one knee in a crowded Shoprite as screams of joy filled the store.
The video was posted on Twitter by @Jabu1ani, who simply captioned it: "Izinja madoda...a king...a legend ..a leader..."
The footage gave Mzansi the feels and tweeps flooded the comment section with congratulation messages for the newly engaged couple.
Social media user @MonzaGiggs commented: "Congrats to the couple! And the guy was probably listening to his favourite song throughput."
However, although many saw it as a beautiful moment, there were those who used it as an opportunity to poke fun at the couple and the man's choice of location.
Twitter user, @MathildaChauke, commented: "That thing. Their slogan 'Lower engagement venue you can trust always'"
Ntala Magakwe, who goes by the Twitter handle @magakwe_ntala, added: "It took me time to realize the guy is proposing. All I saw was plastics with items inside passing the scanner, so I thought it’s a new system of selling."
