Zenande Mfenyana is tired of all the hate that women show other after her character in The Queen got blamed for the sexual assault that she suffered. People were saying Grace deserved what happened to her.
Zenande Mfenyane plays the role of Grace in the hit TV series The Queen, and her character suffered sexual assault at the hand of her boyfriend. However, fans of the show are saying Grace deserved it, and Zenande is not happy.
Grace has to deal with the assault as well as a parent who doesn't believe her and people who just seem to not care.
Perhaps it is Grace's past that has fans of the show displaying such iciness towards her.
Zenande had enough though, and took to social media to share her opinion on the matter.
Every night I’m alarmed at the amount of women saying Goodness deserved to be r*ped. Deserved? You’re saying she rightfully earned to have her womanhood, her body, her mind violated?
Briefly.co.za gathered that Zenande disapproves of the hate between women and wants it to end.
I can’t get it through my mind how much women on women hate there is in this world.
The actress feels that more awareness should be made about sexual assault and that it is something that has to be spoken about, as reported on by TimesLIVE.
We need to start having these serious conversations, a lot of people are in the dark about what r*pe really is. I hope somehow through the r*pe storyline on The Queen some light will be shed.
We hope that this will open the eyes of people who still seem ignorant of the price that sexual assault comes with.
