The man wrote that the thieves stripped the engine of the Polo Tsi and removed the tires before burning the vehicle. He says the police caught them at a road block in Grahamstown on the road leading to King William’s Town.

He adds that the thieves allegedly had a buyer in line already, Briefly.co.za found.

But Mzansi had no chill and starting questioning the young man’s story.

Some users expressed their doubts that the burnt car the man shared pictures of was in fact a polo. In response, the man just told them to “pay attention”.

A few users also pointed out that the engine is still visible in the pictures. He wrote that they borrowed an engine to fit it in.

Another user, Rumani, simply wanted to know why they had brought the car back after it was so badly damaged. When he responded that he hoped to use the car, Rumani said that “it will use you.”
