Mzonke Mgobo shared photos of two unique pairs of shoes that were designed and created by African Shoes. Mzonke shared an EFF-styled, red and black pair in addition to an ANC-coloured pair. Mzansi found the shoes surprisingly attractive and shared their opinion about which pair they’d prefer.
African Shoes is a homegrown and youth-based shoe manufacturing company. The company seeks to reduce unemployment in their community.
Although many users were gushing about how they could get their hands on a pair of the flashy new kicks, one user tried to spoil the fun and suggested the company makes one with a VBS logo, alluding to the corruption scandal involving the EFF, Briefly.co.za found.
Another user added that both the shoes were ugly and hurt her eyes. Some said it was just unfortunate that the ANC’s colours are green and yellow.
But Twitter overwhelmed his criticism with positivity and said that it would be a great idea and would probably sell well too.
