Isidingo's Motlatsi and wife talk about keeping love alive this Valentine's day

Isidingo star, Motlatsi Mafatshe and his wife, Millicent Nkangane have planned a special Valentines Day show at the Soweto Theatre this evening to keep the love alive.

Unlike many celebrities and even Mzansi peeps who will be celebrating romantic dinners together this evening, Isidingo star Motlatsi Mafatshe and his wife have chosen to host a special musical extravaganza show instead.

According to TshisaLive, Motlatsi said the idea came about after he and his wife wanted to put on a showcase for the community. They juggled the idea of maybe hosting a fashion show, theatre production as well as other ideas but settled for a live music event.

He shared a poster for the musical extravaganza on social media urging peeps to buy tickets as he counted down the days to the show.

Motlatsi is quite the charmer and romantic. During his and his wife's interview with TshisaLive they spoke about love, their relationship and their future. They met at church, Motlatsi was part of the choir and Millicent a good church girl. He said it was love at first sight when he met her.

He said the best thing that he loved about her wife, was the fact that she is very supportive. He said Millicent knew him when he was nothing but she believed in him, which made he feel that he could take on the world.

Millicent said she loved that he was so driven. She explained that when they were younger, they would share their dreams and pray for them and now they are seeing their dreams unfold, an it's beautiful.

He said making time for each other was the hardest art for keeping the fires burning as they have hectic lives especially working in the entertainment industry, but they do try to make it work.

Motlatsi said Valentine's Day scares most men because of all the stereotypes but it's not about the women's or girlfriend's day.

"It's about what made you fall in love in the first place."

Millicent offered some advice to hopefuls this Valentine's Day. She said people need to love each other more that the generalisation.

"Open yourself and love that person for who they are, not what they have or what they do. You need to communicate your hopes and dreams."

Two months ago, Briefly.co.za reported about how Motlatsi and his siblings teamed up to buy their mother a new car.

Motlatsi, known for his role as Sechaba in the popular TV series Isidingo, drove his mother to tears. But it was tears of joy and pride that showed the happy mother's deepest emotions after her children surprised her with a new car as a present on her birthday.

The kids happily sang "Happy Birthday" to their mother as she saw her amazing birthday gift.
