South Africans reacted to EFF leader Julius Malema showing support to Prophet Shepherd Bushiri on social media.
Previously, Briefly.co.za reported Julius Malema defended controversial Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.
The debate started when twitter user, Man’s not Barry Roux (@AdvBarryRoux), shared a tweet where he said: "Under the powers vested on me by the Black Twitter Constitution I hereby open Sunday Twitter. #Bushiri."
Malema responded to Man's tweet by saying he is too hard on the controversial religious leader.
Social media user @finexcgroup commented: "You love criminals angithi you are in the same what app group, you once evaded tax... Asikakhohlwa."
Another tweep, @Lipra_LM, added: "I'm a proud member of the EFF but I will have to differ with Leadership on the Bushiri matter. That man is a scam, a pyramid scheme. He uses Religion to steal from our people. I want him in jail, that's where he belongs."
Twitter user @Malose58033882 wrote: "My leader the man is a false prophet using our poor people s desperation to escape poverty and attain a better life for his own financial benefits pls my leader we rellay on u to use u powerful voice to make our people aware of such charlatans."
