This week Mzansi called for Soweto to be plunged into darkness until their electricity debt is paid in full, AKA opened up about his relationship with Pearl Thusi, his baby momma's best friend, and Our Perfect Wedding's all-white wedding left viewers divided.
Many South Africans have taken to social media to demand that Soweto's electricity be shut off until it pays its debts to ESKOM. This comes after stage 4 load shedding was implemented across the country.
Soweto reportedly owes the power utility billions.
The outages reportedly cost the economy at least R2 billion a day. As a result, many on social media were not happy with Soweto.
The township is one of ESKOM's main payment defaulters and reportedly owes the power utility R15 billion. This is more than the amount owed to ESKOM by more than 50 other municipalities combined.
ESKOM has routinely threatened to turn off Soweto's lights unless citizens begin paying their bills, but thus far it has not followed through, Briefly.co.za learned.
As the day of AKA’s roast draws near, many were shocked to learn that Pearl Thusi would be the roast master. The rapper told TshisaLIVE that their beef was over and he was happy that she would be a part of the roast.
But sitting down with TshisaLIVE recently, the rapper said that the negativity was all in past and he actually endorsed the decision to appoint Pearl.
When asked about the pair's sudden friendship, the Fela In Versace hitmaker said that the situation was different back then.
The level of maturity is inspiring.
Our Perfect Wedding is a popular TV series that gives Mzansi a look at what happens behind the scenes of some really gorgeous weddings.
And who doesn't love seeing the drama and stress before everything works out and a couple ends up getting happily married?
The latest episode had Mzansi divided, however. While everyone was in love with the theme and the decor and the couple, Mamphumuwa and Kelello, there are viewers who think the bride may be in for a surprise later on in her marriage.
The couple went with a literal all-white wedding and fans of the show loved it. The outfits and wedding decor were on point.
We gathered that there was one thing that divided fans though, and that's the fact that Kelello might have broader sexual preferences than Mamphumuwa expects.
It's never easy to lose a loved one, no matter what the circumstances. The hole that is left in our hearts never truly goes away.
Tsholo Matshaba, known for her role as the devious gold-digger Meme of Muvhango, took to social media to express her feelings. Her husband, Chris, passed away in February 2018 after a battle with cancer.
The two were married for three years when his life was ended. According to a touching post that Tsholo shared, living without her best friend still cuts and burns like a hot rod.
We admire Tsholo's brave act of opening up and showing us her heart. We hope she finds peace and can heal as time goes on.
