The war of words between the two musicians has escalated after DJ Cleo responded to Boity’s angry social media post.

The issue stems from the fact that Cleo seems be sympathetic towards the disgraced kwaito star, who is also his close friend. Briefly.co.za learnt that several celebrities and social media users were outraged by the post including Boity Thulo.

Boity was shocked by the post and comments and took shots at Cleo. The Dj then took to his own social media page to ask Boity why she was suddenly so "woke."

He added that she was silent during the outrage when Nomzamo Mbatha posed with Arthur Mafokate at an ANC event. Arthur made headlines two years ago after he was accused of assaulting former girlfriend Cici Twala.
