Woman shares how best friend broke up with her for being overprotective

A young woman from Mhluzi opened up about a situation that broke her heart. She took to social media to express her sadness that her best friend broke up with her after a long fight about her friend’s boyfriend.

Lelo Kumze expressed that her friend’s boyfriend constantly hurt her friend, often leaving her in tears.

Lelo tried to protect her friend from the toxic relationship but came across as overbearing.

Her friend felt as though Lelo was not respecting her, her choices or her relationship and decided that it would be best for them to part ways, Briefly.co.za learned.

Lelo says its hurt to see her best friend crying over a man who was not worthy of her love and loyalty. She acknowledges that she became overprotective but says it was hard to watch her friend get hurt by her bae and wasn’t trying to hurt or disrespect her.

The friend chose her relationship with her boyfriend over Lelo , leaving her heartbroken. Lelo says she loved her friend to the moon and back and only wanted what was best for her and acted out of love.

Mzansi felt her pain and shared words of encouragement. One Twitter user said, “you can’t save someone who doesn’t wanna be saved. Always be there support her after her aftermath. Maybe she needs her own lesson you also learning from this direct or indirect.”
