The fashion industry has lost a big and important part of the industry. The creative director and fashion designing legend identified as Karl Lagerfeld has passed away in Paris at the age of 85.
According to DailyMail, the fashion designer had reportedly looked frail in recent days before his death. It was gathered that he had been battling with his health in recent weeks.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Chanel fashion company had confirmed the fashion legend's death this Tuesday, February 19, to Reuters. Although, the cause of death is still unknown.
Lagerfeld had reportedly been admitted into the hospital on Monday, February 18. The creative director was born to a German mother and a Swedish father.
Due to his creativity and talents he was dubbed Kaiser Karl and Fashion Meister in the fashion industry. He was seen as a god of fashion for always coming up with the best and creative designs.
In his early 20s, the fashion legend had left his home country, Germany to realise his fashion dream in the fashion capital Paris. He became known from his association with Chanel in the 1980s.
When he was alive, it was impossible for Lagerfeld not to be spotted in a crowd of people, always spotting dark suits, white pony-tailed hair and tinted sunglasses.
