The manager who caused widespread outrage over the way he handled an altercation with an employee at Shoprite has allegedly been transferred to another branch.

Briefly.co.za reported earlier this year that an unknown manager from a Shoprite in Gauteng had gotten into a heated argument with a co-worker and had subsequently been suspended pending an investigation.

It now seems as if the manager has simply been transferred, with reports coming in that he was spotted at a Usave in Sunnyside.

This has sparked a second wave of outrage, with people taking to Twitter to express their dismay that the man had not been fired.

In the video that started the drama, the manager can be seen intimidating the employee:

“Why don’t you meet me outside, let’s go,"

To which the employee replies that he is not there to fight, but to work.

Briefly.co.za has reached out to the Sunnyside branch for comment but had received no response at the time of publication.
