Taking to social media, DA leader Mmusi Maimane fired shots at the ruling party's budget speech, dubbing it 'lipstick budget'.

Maimane added the ANC should sell off some of the State Owned Enterprises (SOE) and use the money to better the lives of South Africans.

"Why hold on to SOE? We should sell some and ensure we can allocate the money to SAfricans. This is lipstick budget. Decorating but not dealing with real issues. We need change. We borrow 1,2 billion every day. Our people are without work. Cut and change the cabinet so we deliver," the DA leader wrote on Twitter.
