Celebrities are human too. They get upset and clap back, sometimes even at each other. Following Boity and DJ Cleo's heated exchange a few days ago, we decided to take a look back at all the celeb beef that's entertained us on social media over these last few years.
1. Simphiwe Dana vs. Thandiswa Mazwai
After Ntsiki Mazwai was roasted by Nomzamo Mbatha, many took to social media to have a laugh over the incident. One of the many who had a chuckle was singer Simphiwe Dana. Ntsiki's sister Thandiswa Mazwai was less than impressed though and told Simphiwe that she can't sing. Simphiwe didn't back down though, and maintained that she "said what she said."
2. Anele Mdoda vs. Uyanda Mbuli
The drama started when Uyanda claimed that she was involved in mental health awareness before it was a fashion trend. Anele thought this comment was unnecessary, resulting in a back and forth between the two. They dragged each other about everything from age to getting fired from jobs within the entertainment industry.
3. Bonang Matheba vs. Phil Mphela
The two have been at it for years now, well Phil was subbing Bonang and she would never really respond. But all hell broke loose when Phil reported on Bonang's tax scandal. Queen B clapped back and the two exchanged harsh words. Bonang called Phil a parasite and Phil called Bonang a manipulator.
4. Pearl Thusi vs. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi
Remember when EFF vandalised H&M stores after a racist advert? Pearl expressed disappointment at the act. Mbuyiseni called her an "ANC self hating mascot." Pearl clapped back saying she felt bullied by the entire EFF political party.
5. Boity vs. DJ Cleo
Briefly.co.za recently reported on the exchange between the two musicians. DJ Cleo posted a picture with the disgraced Kwaito artist Brickz, and Boity openly expressed her disappointment. Cleo clapped back and said he would not be bullied, and suggested that Boity was "fake woke."
