Bonang says she doesn't need a man or kids to be happy

Bonang has revealed that she is not planning on getting married and having babies anytime soon. The 32-year-old has put her career first before starting a family of her own.

Bonang’s last relationship with rapper AKA ended in a messy breakup which saw the pair throw shade at each on several occasions on social media. The rapper even went as far as to throw shade in his songs.

Speaking at the #WeSeeEqual Gender Equality Summit hosted by UN Women in India Bonang revealed that she wants to achieve a number of personal goals before she starts of thinking about getting married. She said that it’s the best way of empowering herself and other women.

She said that she is always getting asked when she will have kids or start a family. But she wants to make money and travel the world first. She said she wants to be an inspiration to other women

She added that society downplay efforts by females and consider a woman’s success is dependent on a man or husband.

"Why is it that the things that I have achieved with the help of my mom and sisters can't be celebrated? Why does it have to be validated if there is a man next to me?”
