Connie Ferguson has lost her legal battle against Nivea after a judge ruled that her branding was too similar to the poplar label. This is not the first time a local celebrity has been accused of copying an international brand. Even though some of these accusations haven’t ended up in court, they still raised a few eyebrows.

1. Cassper Nyovest vs. Cartoon Network

When Cassper first burst into the mainstream market, many pointed out that his logo looked very similar to Cartoon Network’s brand logo.

The Mafikizolo singer was accused of copying an Armani piece on the Metro FM Music Award red carpet

3. Gavin Rajah vs Self-Portrait

Local fashion designer Gavin Rajah has had tongues wagging over the years for allegedly copying designs. In 2015 was accused of copying a dress designed by Han Chong for US brand Self Portrait.
