DJ Shimza is happy that his one-man show not only reached its 10-year milestone but is also heading to Europe - France in particular. Paris has been Shimza's dream for a while and he's finally heading there this year!
DJ Shimza is heading to France and is very excited. He's taking his one-man show to Paris, something that has been a dream of his for a while.
Paris has been a dream of mine for a while now. The venue I am going to play it is one that has played a big role in ensuring that our music has a platform to flourish that side.
I am also at a stage in my life and career where I am not willing to avoid risks, especially not ones that look like they will be worth it in the end.
TimesLIVE reported that the musician was super proud when he celebrated his one-man show's 10-year milestone in 2018.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Shimza is very grateful that there were DJs before him who opened international doors for him. He feels it's his turn to prove himself and then open doors for others as well.
Someone helped me get my first break, so I want to do the same. But it won't just be a Tshepho from Tembisa who plays nice music. It needs to be a Tshepho from Thembisa who has been hustling hard, working towards breaking into the international market himself.
The work ethic, the set and everything needs to communicate.
Shimza's shows will head to Portugal as well and maybe even Angola.
