- Drivers trying to make money have been spotted fighting one another over territory
- Taxi drivers were seen fighting private car service drivers at the airport
- The drivers were reportedly fighting over which service is allowed to do business at the airport
A video of taxi drivers fighting private car service drivers have gone viral on social media. The drivers were allegedly fighting over who gets to do business at a particular business territory.
According to reports, the incident occurred at the local airport in Lagos. The public taxi drivers allegedly started the fight with claims that the private car services were taking over their own territory.
The reports stated that it took military men to stop the fight. It was said that soldiers at the airport intervened and warned them to stop.
It was gathered that the soldiers also told the taxi drivers that they were wrong for instigating a fight due to the fact that both parties paid for parking space.
Locals love to use private cab services due to the fact that they are comfortable and affordable to use. There is comfort of safety as well and you are billed according to the metre reading unlike public cabs that just charged you arbitrarily.
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za had earlier reported that a young woman had taken to social media to share the story of how the female driver of a car service company insulted her after she requested for a ride on her app. She said she was insulted because she was not going somewhere far.
