Nike has honoured our athletic superstar Caster Semenya with an advert that gave many people goosebumps when they first saw it. She's taking on the International Association of Athletics Federations, and it seems the world is backing her.
Caster Semenya has been on everyone's minds the last few weeks as she bravely takes on the International Association of Athletics Federations and their decision to push athletes to take testosterone suppressants to reduce their levels of testosterone.
While the IAAF is trying to take on what they call unfairness, the world seems to be fiercely defending Caster.
She's taking on the big guys, and the South African government has set aside an estimated R25-million for the athlete’s defence. Even celebs, and South Africa's Sports Minister, Tokozile Xasa, have rallied behind Caster.
Now international brand Nike has also shown support for the star athlete.
Nike created an emotionally touching advert as part of the brand's ' Dream Crazy short film series'.
Caster can be heard asking viewers if it would be easier for them if she wasn't as fast or if she just stopped winning.
However, in a cheeky twist, she ends the advert by saying: "That’s too bad… because I was born to do this! We all have purpose, and I believe that each of us has an assignment we’re here to complete,".
Wow. This ad had us feeling very proud of Caster and all her achievements.
