The love-hate relationship that Mzansi has with Lebani “Rasta” Sirenje goes on as the painter took to his brushes and did a portrait of veteran actor Jerry Mofokeng. As could be expected, it looked like someone else and SA reacted on social media.
Rasta has been bashed, roasted and insulted so many times, but his perseverance knows no bounds.
He has likely become one of South Africa's most famous local painter, and not because of his talent - he does have talent, the problem lies in his execution - but because he doesn't do the people he paints justice.
At least, that's according to most South Africans.
About a month ago, Rasta painted South Africa's president, but as reported on by Briefly.co.za, people thought it looked more like David Mabuza, the Deputy President. That was the latest in a series of painting he did.
When he recently did a painting of one of SA's most beloved actors, Jerry Mofokeng, it didn't go down well with people.
As always, they took to social media to share their opinions on Rasta's painting that looks a lot like Hollywood actor The Rock, according to them.
