Few things can bring South Africans together the way sport can. A photo of two young boys at a rugby match went viral in 2016 and in 2019 they recreated the snap, and it's adorable and touching how the boys showed sportsmanship.
A photo that is likely the cutest thing we've seen all week, has left Stormers and Blue Bulls fans with fuzzy feelings.
Two boys were snapped at a match between the two rival teams. The boy wearing the Stormers shirt was emotional and teary-eyed and the boy in the Bulls shirt had his arm around him, clearly trying to comfort him.
How's that for sportsmanship?
The boys, identified as Roscill Cameron and Henré Ehlers, were snapped in 2016, and the photo went viral because it touched so many people.
Three years later, the boys visited Martin Bester of Jacaranda FM and recreated the snap. It's still a touching thing to see: two sports fans putting aside the politics of sport to support each other.
As reported on by jacarandafm.com, many adults could learn a lesson or two from these boys.
Briefly.co.za gathered that many South Africans took to social media to express how the snaps touched them.
Themba Nkosana - "It's ok friend.! At the end of the day Rugby is the winner.!"
Anthony Lokker - This is who we are.... it's the politicians who keep deviding us. DEVIDE AND RULE!!!!
Roydon Frost - Awesome pic that's how we should be as South Africans
Nick Leonard - A picture of the South Africa we should be striving for
Gavin Opie - The real spirit of rugby.
Stephanus de Goede - If only adults online could behave the same...
