- The EFF regional leader further criticised the committee as a reflection of the “male-dominated” Democratic Alliance (DA)

The EFF in Tshwane has vocalized their disappointment in the selections made for the executive mayoral committee, calling the new team “male-dominated.”
IOL News reported that here are now only two women in the Tshwane mayoral body, Sheila Senkubuge (Road and Transport MMC) and Mare-Lise Fourie (Finance Services).
Moaferika Mabogwana, Tshwane regional EFF leader, explained that:

“We are not happy with the mayoral committee, because it is male-dominated. It reflects that the males still dominate in the DA.”
Mabogwana also said that the EFF will be watching the new mayor of Tshwane, Stevens Mokgalapa, very closely and give him “at least three months” to prove himself.
Briefly.co.za also found out that Mabogwana expressed worries regarding the similarities between Mokgalapa and former Tshwane mayor Solly Msimanga.

The EFF regional leader explained that:
“We are going to give him a chance and if he continues to do what Solly Msimanga did - we are going to remove him.”
