Weekly Wrap: Bushiri accused of sexual assault and toddler pulls knife on gogo

Another hectic week has passed. A woman was filmed reacting to corrupt traffic cops in African languages, a toddler grabbed a knife after his gogo tried to discipline him, Prophet Bushiri got accused of sexual assault, Mmatema Moremi’s red wedding dress was gorgeous, and a brave 25-year-old gave birth to septuplets.

1. Traffic cop tells lady SA isn't her country, she slams back in African languages

A video was shared on South Africa Live's Facebook page which showed a woman in an argument with traffic cops. It was not revealed what sparked the argument, but, according to their comments, social media users believed the cops wanted 'cooldrink' money and the lady refused.

At one point, one of the officers was heard saying SA was not the woman's country and she responded by slamming him in different African languages.

South Africans applauded the woman for standing her ground and not giving the traffic officers money.

2. Video shows toddler grabbing a knife after gogo tried to discipline him

A lot of experts argue kids nowadays have no respect because their parents are not allowed to give them a good 'ol fashion hiding. However, perhaps parents and guardians are no longer spanking kids, not because of fear for the law, but fear for the children themselves.

A video was shared on social media on Thursday which left Mzansi shocked and speechless. The footage, which was shared by Mzansi Stories on Twitter, showed a toddler grabbing a knife after an older woman tried to discipline him.

Briefly.co.za have not gathered when or where the footage took place, nor do we know what the young man did to deserve a spanking.

3. No break for Bushiri: 4 women accuse Major 1 of sexual assault

Bushiri just can't seem to catch a break - first, he stood accuse of murder after a deadly stampede at his church claimed multiple lives; then, he was arrested on grounds of fraud and money laundering. Now, Major One has been accused of sexually assaulting at least four women, the Daily Sun reported.The movement, #NotInMyNameSA, has been contacted by several ladies, who claimed Bushiri and other church leaders sexually assaulted them.

4. White dress for whom? Mmatema Moremi’s red wedding dress was blazing

These days, no one just has a traditional wedding, there is always a fairy tale day filled with glitz and glam that follows. Briefly.co.za previously reported on Mmatema’s very private traditional wedding which took place two weeks ago. This weekend was all about the fairy tale ending, the sparkle and the princess gown. Mmatema did not go with the traditional white though; she wowed us all with a popping red.

Our girl looked absolutely blazing in her gorgeous red gown, while her man sported a mustard coloured Japanese inspired tux. The two looked stunning and complete.

5. 7 from heaven: Lady, 25, gives birth to septuplets naturally

In what is believed to be a miracle, a woman has successfully delivered septuplets in Iraq. The woman who delivered her babies naturally is said to be in good health, with her newborn children also doing well.

According to DailyMail, the woman is the first to deliver septuplets in the Middle-Eastern country. It was gathered that she put to birth at a hospital in Diyali province. Briefly.co.za gathered the hospital spokesperson revealed that the unidentified woman had delivered six girls and one son.
