An elderly US couple proved that love is what makes life worth living after passing away only one day apart. Joan Sell Chapple passed away in a nursing home, after a battle with Alzheimer's, and her husband, Warren, passed away the next day.
87-year-old, Joan, suffered from Alzheimer’s in her later years and had to be moved to a home. Her husband, Warren, who was 93 years old, visited her twice a day for two years until he was diagnosed with cancer recently and struggled to make the 16km commute, Briefly.co.za found.
The couple had been together for over 70 years and were inseparable.
When Joan was moved to the home, Warren visited her regularly to feed her meals and sit with her until she fell asleep.
The couple had two sons. When his son son informed Warren of Joan’s passing, he knew his father would soon reunited with the love of his life.
Warren and Joan shared a home in West Sand Lake, New York. They had two sons together and a budding family of three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Daily News reported.
