Maps Maponyane is the latest Mzansi celeb to join the #bettermanproject. The aim is for men to focus on becoming better men, rather than trying to be perfect. The actor invited South African men to join him.
Maps Maponyane has an impressive résumé - he is an actor, presenter, fashion designer, speaker, model, creative consultant, voice over artist, philanthropist and business entrepreneur.
He now added one more thing to this already impressive list - he joined the #bettermanproject and became an inspiration to other men.
Men's Health and a number of other South African celebs are pledging to the project and promise to try and be better men.
Briefly.co.za gathered that the aim of the project is not for men to be perfect, but to be a better version of themselves. Maps join other celebs like Marc Lottering, DJ Fresh, Francois van Coke, and Dale Steyn.
Maps announced his own involvement with the project on social media and said: "We’re not saying we’re perfect, but rather we’re acknowledging our past mistakes. We hope to encourage men to think about their problematic behaviour."
He invited South African men to join the project as well.
It is hoped that this project will create more awareness among men about how they treat the women in their lives.
