Thief caught on video stealing a laptop and it left Mzansi shook

A video was posted on social media which showed a man and two women stealing a laptop from a store in Benoni.

On Thursday, a video was posted on social media which showed a man stealing a laptop from a store counter without getting caught.

The video, which was posted on Intelligence Bureau SA, quickly went viral, gathering over 23k views in just six hours.

The incident took place on Wednesday in Benoni. According to the post, two women and a man arrived at the shop in a Blue Hyundai Accent.

They got out and entered, where the women acted as a diversion while the man approached counter and checked through the handbag of the teller.

He then put it down before going around the back, where he took the laptop before exiting the store.

South Africans were shocked by the footage, but some felt it was irresponsible to leave the laptop laying around.

Trevor Apia commented: "Even my six year old son will never leave his valuables unattended as I always teach them not to do so."
Bongani Velly Smith added: "Lesson number never leave your phone,laptop valuables on the ope unattended we are always told it matters not if it's your car office or home."
