South Africans just got themselves a new catch phrase - and, the story behind the viral sensation is just hilarious.
Ever heard the phrase, "it is as easy as riding a bike?" Well, apparently it is not that easy riding a bicycle.
A girl came face-to-face with a rugby pole -literally- while she was riding her bicycle on a sport field. A video of the fail was shared on social media, but, it was the person behind the camera's reaction that had social media users in stitches.
According to News24, the incident was filmed on a rugby field at Affies Park in Windhoek. The footage showed the girl, who we assume is Marelize, riding her bike in circles.
However, as she approached the rugby posts, she froze and rode straight into it, crashing her bike.
Now, this is where the video got hilarious - the person who filmed the video dryly said, "my fok Marelize," which is Afrikaans for, "my f*ck Marelize."
The video has since gone viral on different social media platforms and 'My fok Marelize' has become a catch phrase.
Briefly.co.za gathered Pierre De Vos also shared the video on Facebook, where it gathered over 74k views.
He captioned it: "From now on, every time I encounter a stuff up, I am going to say: 'My fok, Marelize.'”
