Local actor Sibusiso Khwinana, known for his role in the film Matwetwe, was fatally attacked on Friday, 1 March. His family confirmed that he passed away. Sibusiso was stabbed with a sharp object in the upper body.
Local actor, Sibusiso Khwinana, was allegedly stabbed to death over a cellphone. A thug reportedly tried to rob Sibusiso of his phone and they wrestled before the actor was stabbed with a sharp object.
Captain Mavelo Masondo stated that a 25-year-old young man was fatally stabbed at about 11 pm on Friday, 1 March.
The actor's family confirmed the tragic news.
Sibusiso was, according to the police, with a friend on the corner of Steve Biko and Pretorius Streets when the assailant demanded his phone.
There was a struggle, and Sibusiso was stabbed in the upper body. EWN reported that the actor was declared dead on the scene.

No arrests has been made and police are appealing to anyone who might have information that can help in the investigation or in apprehending the suspect to please call the nearest police station or call Crime Stop on 0860010111.
Sibusiso was the lead actor of the film produced by DJ Black Coffee, Matwetwe.
