Mzansi rallies behind Babes Wodumo after Mampintsha's alleged abuse

Mzansi has poured out support for musician, Babes Wodumo, after a live Instagram video of her allegedly being assaulted by her boyfriend, Mampintsha, went viral.

Babes went live on Instagram late last night. The feed initially looked normal, until the pair is heard having an argument. Mampintsha is seen accusing Babes of cheating. Babes defends herself with a spicy response which clearly triggers the abusive boyfriend to strike her.

The argument then progresses to Mampintsha physically assaulting the young artiste. She managed to switch off the recording after a brief time but by then it had already been seen by thousands of viewers.

The video has since been shared on multiple social media platforms and celebrities have come out to support Babes and speak out against gender violence.

Minister of Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa, took to social media to condemn Mampintsha and ask that Babes press charges against him so that he can be punished by the court of law.

Many have been worried about Babes’ safety, but according to Natasha Thahane, our Gqom Queen is safe.

Mampintsha is known to have physically assaulted Wodumo. reported that Masechaba Ndlovu aired their laundry during a live interview with Babes on Metro FM a few months ago.
