Babes Wodumo's sister and PR manager, Nondumiso Simelane, has confirmed that the video doing the rounds on social media of Babe being assaulted by Mampintsha is real. Mampintsha is apparently now on the run.
The widespread outrage turned to doubt as a post allegedly written by Mampintsha did the rounds claiming that the entire video was a publicity stunt. Nondumiso has since confirmed to TshisaLIVE that the video is real and that Mampintsha is nowhere to be found.
"Babes' lips are swollen but she didn't go to the hospital after the beating and Mampintsha is nowhere to be found, he's gone AWOL."
Nondumiso said that she had tried to talk to the public after the first allegations of abuse, but she was told to mind her business. She added that she would "personally beat Babes up" if she went back to Mampintsha.
Babes has apparently been sleeping since the incident and her sister has taken her phone away.
The sister has also called for Mampintsha to be arrested, joining the mounting calls from celebrities, politicians and South Africans alike for the musician to be put behind bars.
Briefly.co.za has recently learnt that the EFF has called for the public to arrest Mampintsha if they see him and take him to the nearest police station.
