South African media personality, Somizi, has vowed not to take part in any events that feature Mampintsha, the man accused of physically attacking Babes Wodumo. According to Somizi, it's not time to take sides - there is only one side.
While the drama around Babes Wodumo and her boyfriend, Mampintsha, continues to swirl, Somizi has decided he will not show any kind of support for the man.
In fact, Somizi has promised to not only shun the Kwaito musician on social media but also pull out of any future events planned that involve Mampintsha in any way.
Somizi was talking on his Metro Woooooo Shem segment on Metro FM's Fresh Breakfast show when he addressed the matter, as reported on by SowetanLIVE.
I was booked by Mampintsha for a concert in Cape Town, sometime in May. I can tell you now, I am pulling out. I am not gonna be a part of this, I am not going to keep quiet and support it. I am so angry right now.
Somizi is disturbed by the fact that Babes was so used to the abuse that she knew when to expect it and could plan to record it and have evidence.
The first thing I thought of was that it's been happening way too often, for way too long, that she's now at the point where she's able to suss out when it's gonna happen. So now she's saying, 'Okay, now it's coming so lets go live and have evidence.
Briefly.co.za learned that Somizi added there are no sides to take, there's just one side.
Usually we'll say things like, 'let's wait for the law to take its course and such' but this time, there's no taking sides guys. There's only one side to take.
