- An 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a man she had earlier spotted hanging around her building
- The man allegedly gave her money and apologised after violating her
- The lady rushed to the police station and he has since been arrested
Over the years, there have" been several bizarre sexual assault cases. However, not once have we heard about a rapist 'paying' his victim.
On Sunday afternoon, a Braamfontein college student was raped by a 27-year-old man. According to the victim, her rapist apologised to her afterwards and gave her R70 "for pizza".
Joburg Central Police spokesperson, Captain Xoli Mbele, confirmed the report, adding that the victim was allegedly relaxing in her flat when she heard a knock on the door.
She opened the door and saw the man, who she had seen around her building before, standing there. He asked for her roommate, who was not there at that time.
The man entered the apartment and locked the door before throwing her on the bed. He then covered her mouth so that she could not scream for help.
Mbele said when the incident was over, the man apologised, claiming he did not want to do it. He then took out R70 and placed it on her table, telling her to buy herself some pizza.
Briefly.co.za gathered that the lady then went down to the police station and cops took her to the doctor before hunting down the man. He was found in his apartment and the police arrested him on the spot.
