Social media gives Maimane cold shoulder over reaction to Babes' abuse

Mzansi is up in arms over the alleged abuse of Babes Wodumo. Mmusi Maimane thought he was going to play the knight in shining armor, rising to the occasion to have his say, but instead of a standing ovation, the DA leader was told to sit back down.

Babes Wodumo is on Mzansi's mind. Everyone is concerned for the musician after she exposed her boyfriend, Mampintsha, during a live Instagram broadcast.

With everyone from ministers to the average joe coming to her defense, Mmusi Maimane saw his opportunity for a potential publicity stunt.

Briefly.co.za reported that Mampintsha is currently on the run after being exposed, with authorities encouraging citizens to come forward with any information that could aid them in their manhunt.

Taking to Twitter, the Democratic Alliance leader challenged Mampintsha to go three rounds with him in a boxing ring.

What the presidential hopeful clearly hadn't considered before he jumped on the bandwagon was that encouraging violence in response to violence was probably not the smartest move.
