The ANC in Limpopo has promised to take action against an official accused of asking for a R1 million bribe.
The bribe was reportedly in relation to a contract to build toilets at schools.
This comes after the EFF laid charges of corruption against the official, Education MEC Ishmael Kgetjepe.
Kgetjepe allegedly received monthly payout from the company.
A spokesperson for the ANC in Limpopo said that Kgetjepe would sanctioned and that he would face legal consequences. Similarly, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo confirmed that police were investigating the matter.
Additionally, the DA has called on Limpopo Premier, Stan Mathabatha, to axe Kgetjepe, according to The Citizen.
