Mampintsha says police must deal with Babes as they did with him

Mampintsha wants the police to treat Babes Wodumo the same way they treated him after he was charged for physically assaulting her.

Speaking outside the Pinetown Magistrate's Court yesterday, Mampintsha confirmed that he has opened a case of assault against Bongekile Simelane, also known as Babes Wodumo.

He now wants officers to act as swiftly against her as they did against him.

He has since denied that he was in hiding after he went missing for a few hours following the release of the harrowing video of him assaulting Babes. He says that he was not on the run, but was instead in a hotel.

He claims to only have realised he was on the news in the early hours of the morning yesterday before going to the police station.

Briefly.co.za reported that he was wearing a moon boot on his leg during his brief court appearance and many wondered why. He has since told the media that it was an old injury.

Mampintsha is out on bail and will re-appear in court on May 15.
