IRR poll shows ANC losing support, dipping to 54.7%: DA, EFF gain

A new poll conducted by the Institute of Race Relations has suggested that the ANC has lost more support.

The ruling party is currently polling at 54.7%  -  a 1.3% dip from December.

In contrast, the DA has seen a 3% increase in the same period, now sitting with 21.8% support.

However, the party's support in the Western Cape has declined slightly, possibly due to competition from Patricia De Lille's new party GOOD, as well as reports of DA infighting.

Additionally, Premier Helen Zille is no longer the party's provincial candidate.

The poll showed EFF support at 12.2%, also an increase from 11% in December.

These polls were conducted by interviewing 1 600 citizens telephonically.
