Mandla Gaduka nestled himself in the hearts of Generations fans with his hilarious personality but since then Mzansi hasn't really seen much of him. The popular actor opened up that he has been struggling to land roles.
Mandla Gaduka won South African hearts with his funny, adorable personality when he was still part of Generations back in the day.
Since then, we haven't really seen much of Mandla, and Mzansi misses him and his wide smile.
The actor opened up and admitted that he has been finding it difficult to land roles, according to a report by ZAlebs.
Mandla was fired from Generations, along with 16 other actors, and that left him jobless and struggling to find work again.
That was my first proper TV job and it had improved my life to a certain extent. So, when that rug was pulled out from under my feet I was left feeling confused and hopeless. I was very fortunate to find productions afterward but the reality of the situation was very tragic.
Briefly.co.za gathered that Mandla is still upset about what happened in the past.
I think Hlaudi (SABC COO at the time) and Mfundi (Vundla) made a very strong and a very harsh choice. It was a huge gamble for them. I still hold a kind of sour feeling on the situation, a situation where actors are risking it all to improve the working conditions of people and are prevented from doing so.
After this, the role in Broken Vows came Mandla's way but that was temporary and he had to start looking for auditions yet again.
It hasn't been easy, but we hope that the actor finds a more long-term role soon so we can see more of him on our screens.
