The weight of Gabriel’s deceit has fallen hard on him. The Horizon Deep Mayor does not have the guts to face the music; he has decided to run away.

After being ordered to resign publicly and confess to his wrongdoings, Gabriel crumbled. Even though Sechaba reassured him that it was the right thing to do, he just couldn’t.

Briefly.co.za saw the chaos that Gabriel caused when he did not show up to the press conference that he called. Poor Sechaba was left to deal with his mess.

Sechaba was frantically trying to find Gabriel as he feared that the worst had happened, that Lincoln had gotten to him before he could even confess.

Just as the show was about to end, Gabriel showed up on Sechaba’s doorstep. He asked Sechaba to read a letter on his behalf, but Sechaba refused to do his dirty work and told Gabriel that he needed to come clean on his own.

Gabriel then told Sechaba that he would be leaving Horizon Deep in the morning. He then left the letter on the coffee table and asked that Sechaba read it only once he has left.

Like Sechaba, fans were gobsmacked. Gabriel is running away in fear, again, but can you really blame him?
