Rapper AKA has taken to social media to share how honoured he was to see off our Special Olympics athletes ahead of their departure for the United Arab Emirates.
The send-off took place at Parktown Boy's High school in Johannesburg. The 'Victory Lap' hit maker wished the athletes well, and also encouraged them to win:
"Bring home the gold."
AKA seems to have embraced a new side of himself of late. He has been active in charitable initiatives and has even contributed to worthwhile causes out of his own pocket, with the R100 000 donation to Wits being the most recent.
The rapper has said that being re-united with his family has helped him become a better person.
He has had to deal with his fair share of ungrateful social media trolls, though. Briefly.co.za previously reported that AKA has to put a troll in his place after he was accused of doing charitable deeds as a publicity stunt.
